I must admit a guilty pleasure and secret desire of mine is to be on the show survivor. I am ok with it. In the hope of continuing to practice until the day I make it on the show, I have begun the Survivor Biology Series of lessons that I am developing on off days when not much will be happening. It is packaged as experimental design but the truth is it is something fun and hands on to do and help my students think like a scientist.
Todays challenge: You are stranded on a deserted island and you only have some scrap plastic, sticks and duct tape. You must make a device to turn saltwater into freshwater.
